Call for Artists: Public Art Commission, Knights Wood Housing Development, Tunbridge Wells, Kent ** deadline 27 Nov 2016
The Dandara Group, working with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are seeking proposals from artists and designers to create a statement sculptural work to be located in the Village Square of Knights Wood, a new housing development in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The project budget is £25,000 and this includes design, fabrication, materials, transport, installation including any ground works, fees and expenses.
The highly original sculptural work set primarily into a pre-defined space at the end of a triangular water feature will help to provide Knights Wood with a distinct identity by responding to the site’s character and the communities that live there.The commissioning panel are flexible to the wide range of creative approaches this commission can take.
