FREELANCE OPPORTUNITY
Brighton Festival 2016
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Freelance Production Manager to manage our external venue programme for the landmark 50th festival.
This role is vital to the planning and execution of the Brighton Festival. We are looking for someone who can manage logistic planning for a variety of cross art events, Classical and Contemporary Music, Theatre, Dance and Spoken Word in a variety of traditional and non-traditional venues across Brighton and Hove.
You will be responsible for the costing, monitoring and managing all budgets, scheduling all aspects of events, acquisition of all technical requirements, overseeing get-ins and outs, all Health and Safety requirements, hiring temporary staff, liaising with artists/venue staff and ensuring a meticulous level of detail in all your work.
We require excellent communication skills as you will be working with a wide range of artists and external contacts as well as liaising with internal departments at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival.
You must have financial acumen, excellent technical ability and Health and Safety knowledge, as well as wide ranging experience of a variety of genres.
First hand knowledge of Brighton’s resources and venues, both traditional and less typical, is desirable.
Ideally the contract will begin in October 2015.
