Art Show: The Blackmark Awards 2014 ** 6-12 Jan 2015 ** University of Brighton, Sallis Benney Theatre
Brighton based design studio Blackwood Creative Ltd. working in partnership with University of Brighton and Park Communications Ltd. present The Blackmark Awards.
Blackwood and the College of Arts & Humanities, devised a competition for this year’s awards open to second-year design (level 5) and illustration students.
This display brings together all the submissions to this year’s awards.
The brief challenged students to produce a single piece of artwork that represents them, their style, their ideas and their talent. Interpreting the George Bernard Shaw quote ‘Imagination is the beginning of creation’; the brief was simple, the results diverse and visually exciting.
This is an opportunity to see all ninety of these dynamic and contemporary works.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri, 11am–7pm and Sat-Sun, 10am-4pm
