This brand new exhibition at Katherine Richards Art Gallery explores the connections between people and the past they bring into the present. The show offers reflections both historic and contemporary, universal and personal, with more than a passing nod to the sort of soul-searching many of us experienced during the time of lockdown.
Fascinating new works by multi-award-winning silkscreen artist Patrick Morales-Lee, oil painter Nigel Sharman and Dutch textile artist Marjolein Burbank as well as exciting emerging artists Joanneke Carbaat, Naomi Kesket, and Louise Robinson. Christopher King’s delightful wooden bird carvings and lighting by brutalist sculptor Tim Bates also feature.
These are thoughtful works of great sensitivity and style. As with Collections One and Two, the paintings, sculptures, lamps and mixed media artworks are curated alongside minimal interior design settings to help you visualise the art in your own home. Interior designer, artist and gallery curator Katherine Richards will be on hand to tell you more about each featured artist.
Katherine Richards Art Gallery is a member of Own Art, a national initiative supported by Arts Council England to make it easy and affordable for anyone and everyone to buy contemporary art and craft.
