Collection Two opens 10 December – 20 February 2022

Artworks of wintery beauty to create a sense of calm contemplation

In contrast to the summery exuberance of Collection One, this new collection featuring nine artists has a tranquil, more reflective feel with an emphasis on cool blues, greens and neutrals. Nigel Sharman headlines with his beautiful semi-figurative abstract oil paintings, his still life and coastal-inspired pieces imbuing the entire collection with a sense of calm. Also on show are stunning paper relief works by still life artist Jenny McNulty, delightful wooden bird sculptures by Christopher King and serene scenes by Anna Macdonald in acrylic and mixed media. These are thoughtful works of great sensitivity and style.

As with Collection One, the artworks are curated alongside minimal interior design settings to help you visualise the art in your own home.

Katherine Richards Art Gallery is a member of Own Art, a national initiative supported by Arts Council England to make it easy and affordable for anyone and everyone to buy contemporary art and craft. This means that you are able to access an interest-free loan to buy the art you love and pay it back over ten monthly installments (subject to eligibility).
