Naked Eye are delighted to have a new exhibition with award winning artist Susan Evans. Well known for her powerful and dramatic cloudscapes, seascapes and landscapes on canvas, Susan is a Brighton based artist who works in oils. Fuelled by a fascination of horizons and the mystery of distance, skies and cloud patterns have been her main inspiration whilst influences include Constable, Rothko and Turner. Her atmospheric skyscapes capture the drama and romance of clouds suspended in the sky, the fleeting moment captured in her canvases.
Susan is the 2000 winner of the national Peterborough First Open Prize and has shown prolifically in England and Holland since leaving the Chelsea College of Art in London.
Her work is collected internationally by institutions such as Exeter College in Oxford, the Peterborough Museum and Live Wire in California as well as being in private collections throughout the world.
The Susan Evans exhibition runs at the Naked Eye Gallery between 6th-21st July.
Opening times 10am-6pm
