Local lad makes good: Dion Salvador Lloyd’s painting Chalkland wins Chairman’s Purchase prize at ING Discerning Eye exhibition at Mall Galleries, London
23 November 2015. Dion Salvador Lloyd announced today his painting Chalkland has been awarded the Chairman’s Purchase prize at the ING Discerning Eye exhibition at Mall Galleries, London.

Dion said: “I am absolutely thrilled to bits that my painting ‘Chalkland’ has won The Chairman’s Purchase Prize. More importantly for me is that the painting will remain in their permanent collection and sit with other past winners. This collection of paintings will then be exhibited from time to time around the country.”
Dion submitted six paintings and five were selected to be exhibited alongside 451 works by 195 artists. “You can imagine how delighted I am to feel part of something so prestigious,” Dion said.
