Janie Ranger: Florabundum No 1
Spreading to the furthest reaches of Brighton and Hove and out to the
South Downs village of Ditchling, a visit to the Artists Open Houses Christmas Festival is the perfect way to kick off the festive season.
Artists open up their homes and studios welcoming you inside and offering a wealth of wonderful things for you to view, experience and buy.

Visiting the Christmas Artists Open Houses is a great way to discover the diversity of creative talent that exists in the city and this year brings work from some of the country’s top makers in the fields of ceramics, jewellery, print-making and home- wares, as well as handcrafted Christmas cards, wreaths, tree decorations and foodie gifts.
Taking a break from the High Street, you can shop in warmth and comfort, sip a glass of mulled wine and try a mince pie, beside a blazing hearth. Christmas Artists Open Houses create a special atmosphere, where you can chat to the artists and have a sneaky peak around some of Brighton’s most interesting homes, whilst viewing an amazing selection of individual, unique arts and crafts.
An afternoon spent browsing Brighton and Hove’s Christmas Artists Open Houses is the perfect way to take the pain out of Christmas shopping and a chance to pick up a present for friends and family, something unique for the home – or perhaps a treat for yourself!
Venue Opening times
Be sure to check opening times of all Open Houses in their individual listings. Although the most popular opening times are between 11am and 6pm, Saturdays and Sundays, some venues’ opening times and days may differ.
