Towner is an award-winning art gallery, showcasing artists of national and international significance and presenting works from the acclaimed collection. We place learning and a commitment to access at the very heart of everything we do, building on the original vision of the gallery’s philanthropic founder to create ‘an art gallery for the people’.

Learning and inclusivity is at the heart of Towner’s ethos and we pride ourselves on our ability to welcome the broadest range of visitors to our gallery and programmes, having led Eastbourne Borough Council to Beacon Status in Culture for our work with Hard to Reach Groups.

The post-holder will continue to champion the role of genuine diverse access into the visual arts through partnerships and outreach work, building on our key role as a social and cultural community space.  As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Learning contributes to the strategic planning and delivery of the organisation’s objectives.
