We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced candidate able to provide academic leadership and teaching for the 3D Design Pathway to the College’s Level 3 UAL (University of the Arts London) Foundation and Extended Diploma in Art and Design students. You will also provide general tutor and teaching support to Centre for Visual Arts Art and Design programmes.
A contemporary knowledge of industrial practice is essential, and ideally you will have a good understanding of the use of visual research in general creative processes. We wish to appoint an individual who can continue the ethos of excellence and the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and achievement, both on the course and within the Centre for Visual & Digital Arts.
You will hold a first degree or equivalent in 3D Design and have relevant teaching experience at post-compulsory level. Experience delivering and assessing the UAL Diplomas in Foundation and Extended Art & Design specifications and would be desirable for this post. You should also hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards gaining this qualification if you are recruited to the post.
This role requires someone who is passionate about their practice and who has a strong commitment to teaching and motivating mixed ability learners, and able to provide outstanding teaching and learning. Candidates will have relevant previous teaching experience at level 3 along with a teaching qualification and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The role involves managing the process of student recruitment, curriculum planning, assessment of student work, feedback to students, monitoring of student progress, management of student records, student achievement and all associated administration. The role also involves setting learners academic and pastoral targets and guiding and advising learners on appropriate career progression.
