Phoenix Gallery to reopen in 2016 – Ground Floor Refurbishment

The gallery will be closed to the public for the next several months as we prepare and undertake refurbishment work on the gallery and front entrance to the building. Phoenix will relaunch at the beginning of 2016 with a special event and a new programme of curated exhibitions, including ‘The New Immortals’ curated by Judith Alder, and ‘Technology and the Evolution of the Artist’s Book’ curated by Maddy Rosenberg.

Phoenix Brighton has received funding from Arts Council England, Brighton & Hove City Council, The Foyle Foundation, and the Chalk Cliff Trust for the first phase of a ground refurbishment programme. The work will include a new, welcoming entrance to the building and improvements to gallery lighting and heating.
