Art Show: Patrick Cornée ** May 2015 ** Art5 Gallery, Brighton
ART5 Gallery is excited to introduce French artist Patrick Cornée to the gallery with a brand new collection of work painted especially for this show.
Patrick was born in Toulouse, France, in 1963 and is an award winning artist.
He discovered his love of art from a very early age, with his painting still influenced today by the magic of his childhood. Working with graphic design, volume and colour, Patrick creates a ‘poetic lyrical transfiguration’ as he describes his work.
His paintings are inspired by life and nostalgia, symbolising femininity and love. Elegant, elongated figures both blend with the background as well as vibrantly contrast with pale hues. These silhouettes are created with texture and gilding, perfectly balanced in his spontaneous approach to the blank canvas.
The ascendancy of the atmosphere is easily felt by this spectator who is quickly enchanted by the innocence which appears from it. My universe is without limit and overflows creativity.’
