Judith Alder is an artist based in Sussex. She is currently engaged in a research project, The New Immortals, exploring ideas around indefinite lifespan in an age of scientific miracles. In an exhibition due to open at Phoenix Brighton in 2016, as an extension to her artistic practice, Judith will be bringing together a collection of art and artefacts which she, in collaboration with scientists, medics and ethicists, will select from a range of sources, including contemporary art and science.
This talk is aimed at anyone interested in life and death, and especially those who have a particular interest in art as an investigative process and a way of thinking about difficult ideas. The talk will end with an opportunity for questions and discussion. Refreshments will be available.
Tickets for the talk are £5 each (+ 95p booking fee).
