Art on show in Brighton and Hove & East and West Sussex
The Drawing Circus returns to The Old Market this month for an evening of drawing hosted by Suki and Thea of ‘Joan of Art’.
The event is themed around the tongue-in-cheek tale of Joan of Art and her magnificent stallion Charlie! As the event falls on Mardi Gras, Bacchus, the god of wine, will be posing in the Waterloo room. Come and draw Joan, Charlie and Baccus and witness the battle to see who is mightier- the pencil or the paintbrush. Raise a glass in celebration of Mardi Gras, watch live art in action and peruse Joan of Art’s art materials, which will be on sale all evening.
Each month The Drawing Circus brings sociable drawing extravaganzas to the TOM Bar. These friendly and informal themed life drawing session are open to all abilities and complete beginners are very welcome. Costumed poses start at 19:30 and finish at 22:30. As a one off, Joan of Art has received funding to run this event in collaboration with The Drawing Circus and will be completely free.
All Ability, Untutored.
