Hop Gallery is a delightful, light and calming visual arts exhibition space; situated in the 18th century Star Brewery building with its ancient brickwork, massive beams and echoes of a fascinating industrial past, nestled in the shadows of the Norman Castle in the heart of the historic County town of Lewes.
It is considered to be one of the most significant and prestigious visual arts venues in the South East with an exhibition space that is multifunctional and complements traditional & contemporary art, sculpture and installation work equally well. In this unique gallery space you will experience a fresh contemporary feel along with the atmospheric original features which together enhance all types of art media.
The ethos of the gallery is to hold onto its core values of supporting the arts and providing a valuable cultural resource for Lewes and its environs. We are proud to host exhibitions by regional, national and international artists which enable us to offer a diverse programme of exhibitions throughout the year. HOP supports artists of all disciplines and also encourages the young and newly established artists to exhibit their work as well as the well known established artists they are renowned for exhibiting. There really is something for all tastes.
