A major exhibition of new work by Jake and Dinos Chapman, whose provocative and confrontational art continues to shock and awe. The brothers’ darkly comic take on consumer culture brings us face to face with issues of Western identity and with human mortality. The exhibition will feature previously unseen works plus pieces made exclusively for the show. Following their reworking of Goya etchings and Victorian paintings in their Family Portrait series, the brothers will be sourcing artworks from antique and junk shops in Hastings, which will then be ‘fixed’ for the exhibition.
This exhibition has been crowdfunded through the Art Fund’s ‘Art Happens’ project.
