Art5 Gallery announces Yvonne Coomber’s first ever solo show in Sussex, exhibiting a brand new collection of her vibrant signature florals, as well as exclusively unveiling an exciting new style.
Yvonne’s love of nature deeply influences and flows through her work. Much of her early years were spent travelling to gain knowledge and understanding of the world she wished to portray. A pivotal moment in Yvonne’s artistic journey was spent with a horse-drawn community in England, exploring sacred and forgotten parts of the land.
After gaining a degree in Philosophy and Literature at Brighton University, she went on to study fine art in Sussex, furthering her artistic ability and immersion into the world of painting.
Yvonne often paints from within the depths of the Devonshire meadows to draw immediate inspiration from the picturesque surroundings. She captures the chaotic yet harmonious energy within nature, whilst simultaneously bringing warmth and joy to the canvas. The various materials Yvonne uses beautifully unite to create layers of tactile texture. The glitter, reminiscent of early morning dew, the vibrant colours conjuring the kaleidoscopic palette of the countryside, and the delicate scattering of flowers come together organically in her unique artistic vision.
