Art Exhibition: The Megamunden Show / New Gallery Opening ** 28 Feb – 22 Mar 2014 ** No Walls Gallery, Brighton
The show marks the opening of No Walls Gallery new building on Church Street, whilst acting as the perfect follow up to the worldwide success of Megamunden‘s ‘The Tattoo Colouring Book’ – the Brighton based illustrator’s first book, published in 2013 by Laurence King Publishing.
Looking to American and Japanese influenced tattoo styles ‘The Megamunden Show’ further progresses Megamunden’s signature style, developed during his time creating the book and aims to be a body of work that that isn’t only original illustrations and prints on walls, but to seamlessly integrate his detailed illustration style onto sculpture, leather products, fabric and even musical instruments.
Included in the exhibition are collaborations with Raw & Auburn, Pedro Oyarbide & Jeff Nichols.
‘The Megamunden Show’ nicely celebrates the opening of No Walls Gallery new space and the start of a great year, with more shows, more new releases and more leading artists, designers, printmakers and illustrators joining the no walls family…..
